The Lowrance Endura handheld units utilize an USB cable to transfer data between the unit and a computer. Future updates may allow the transfer of data using microSD cards as well. They also utilize the GPX format to store waypoint, track, and route data. To our knowledge, the Endura units cannot read the standard .USR format that has been used on older units such as the iFinder series and the GPS/Sonar units such as the LCX series.
To transfer targets from Contour Elite to a Lowrance Endura, follow these directions:
1. Connect your Endura unit to the computer using the USB cable. The unit should go into PC mode and your computer should recognize it as "Endura".
2. Open Contour Elite's Export to GPS interface by clicking on the "Export Targets to GPS" button on the Target Tool panel or the "Export Entries to GPS" on the Fishing Log panel.
3. Select the GPX (.gpx) format as the format.
4. Select the location to export the file and give it a name. For location, you should select "Endura" and then the "GPX" folder.
5. Select the target(s)or fishing log waypoints to export by clicking on them.
6. Click "Export". Your file should now be saved on your unit.
7. Turn the unit off and then back on. Your waypoints, tracks, and routes should now be listed on your unit for display.
