New and Updated Features

Support for the Humminbird AS ETH 5PGL Ethernet Switch

  • The new AS ETH 5PGL Ethernet switch is supported by this software update. While the prior AS ETH 5PXG switch is still supported, the AS ETH 5PGL contains upgrades that allow support for much larger One Boat Networks. For more information please visit Humminbird’s Ethernet Networking Learning page.

One Boat Ethernet Networking Auto-Sync

  • The process of syncing SOLIX and APEX units has been upgraded. SOLIX and APEX units are no longer manually synced onto the One Boat Network. This happens quickly and automatically as units are connected to the network. A new icon has been added to the status bar of SOLIX and APEX to indicate the networking state of each control head on the One Boat Network.

Minn Kota QUEST Trolling Motor Battery Monitoring Support

  • With this software update for SOLIX and APEX, in conjunction with the 2.200 or newer software update for Minn Kota QUEST motors, a new Battery Monitoring Tool is included to keep track of trolling motor battery usage in real-time. For more information visit Minn Kota’s QUEST Motor Technology page.

Important Notes and Prerequisites

Know before you update

NOTICE! To ensure a smooth update process, please keep the unit powered on until the update is fully completed. Interrupting the power supply during the update can result in system instability or data loss. It is crucial for the integrity of the update that the unit remains operational throughout the entire procedure.

  • DO NOT power the unit off during the update!
  • You will need a Class 10 SD or Micro SD (depending on Humminbird model) no larger than 32GB, and 960 MB of available space.
  • Head unit software MUST be installed BEFORE installing any accessory software.
  • Software version 3.500 or greater must be installed prior to 4.210. No damage will occur if 3.500 or greater is not installed, but the update will not be successful.
  • Once 4.210 is installed, the factory recovery will be updated to 4.210. You will not be able to recover back to previous software versions.
  • The defaults will be restored when 4.210 is installed.
  • Support for SM1000, SM2000, SM3000, AS 360 SSI, AS 360 TM, and AS 360 TM UL has been removed from this software.  There is no effect on MEGA 360 products.
