Using AutoChart Live Share
AutoChart® Live Share is a free online platform that allows Humminbird users to upload, view, and download sonar mapping data to and from a global community. It enhances the capabilities of AutoChart Live by enabling anglers to share depth contour maps and improve their fishing experience with more detailed and collaborative data.
What You Need to Get Started
To use AutoChart Live Share, you’ll need:
- A compatible Humminbird fish finder (APEX, XPLORE, SOLIX, and select HELIX)
- An AutoChart Zero Line SD Card
- A ChartSelect account (free to register)
- This is also the same account used on the One-Boat Network App.
- A Windows or Mac computer with an SD card slot
- Optional: AutoChart PC software for advanced editing
Step 1: Record Your Data
Use your Humminbird fish finder to record sonar data onto your AutoChart Zero Line SD Card. This data is saved as .ACU files. Older units may save data as .HT (track files) or .GPX files.
Step 2: Upload to Live Share
- Insert your Zero Line SD Card into your computer.
- Log in to your ChartSelect account.

Go to the My Data tab.
- Click “Share My Data” and upload your
.ACU,.ACD,.HT, or.GPXfiles. - Your data will appear on the My Data tab immediately and on the LiveShare tab within 15 minutes.
⚠️ All uploaded data is public and shared with the LiveShare community. There is no private upload option.
Step 3: Download Shared Maps
- Go to the LiveShare tab in your ChartSelect account.
- Use the map viewer to locate areas of interest.
- Zoom in until contour data appears.

Click “Download LiveShare Maps” to save the visible data.
- Copy the downloaded file to your AutoChart Zero Line SD Card (no need to unzip).
- Insert the card into your Humminbird fish finder.
Step 4: View Data on Your Fish Finder
HELIX Models
- Insert the Zero Line SD Card.
- Press MENU twice → Select HB Chart tab → Choose AutoChart.
- In the AutoChart menu, select:
- My Data – shows your recorded maps
- LiveShare – shows downloaded community maps
- Both – displays both sets of data
APEX, XPLORE, and SOLIX Models
- Insert the Zero Line SD Card.
- Press HOME → Select a Chart view.
- Zoom to your lake → Tap the Chart menu→ Select AutoChart Live → Choose:
- My Data
- LiveShare
- Both

Shoreline Reference Feature
AutoChart LiveShare includes Shoreline Reference Points, which refine contour lines near shorelines for better accuracy. These points improve the Follow the Contour feature when using a Minn Kota trolling motor with Advanced GPS or i-Pilot® Link.
You can choose Shoreline Reference sources:
- AutoChart PC – custom points you create
- LiveShare – points included with downloaded maps
- Zero Line SD Card – built-in points
Set your fish finder to AUTO or MANUAL mode to select preferred sources.
Helpful Tips
- Always back up your data before updating software or restoring defaults.
- Use a blank 32 GB SD card for software updates.
- Check for updated Shoreline Reference Points regularly on LiveShare.
Don’t Have a Zero Line Card?
You can purchase one or download a region to a blank SD card via ChartSelect. AutoChart PC software also supports LiveShare and allows for custom map creation.
