Can I use my ice transducer with a Side Imaging or Down Imaging unit?
If you would like to ice fish using 2D sonar on a Humminbird model, (excluding ICE Flashers, ONIX, SOLIX, and APEX models) an XI 9 20 or XI 9 1521 CHIRP ice transducer can be added to provide 2D sonar. For compatible models, Ice mode offers more sonar views that are specifically designed for ice fishing. See Ice Mode below to see compatible models.
XI 9 19 ice transducer is only compatible with our ICE flasher products (ICE 35, ICE 45, and ICE 55). It is not compatible with any other products in our line up.
XI 9 20 ice transducers are compatible with first-generation GPS-enabled HELIX 5 series and Helix 7 series and 300, 500, 700, 800, 900 and 1100 series models.
XI 9 1521 CHIRP ice transducer is recommended for GPS-enabled HELIX 5 CHIRP G2, HELIX 7 CHIRP G2, Helix 7 CHIRP G2N and later models for best performance. However, the XI 9 20 is still compatible with these models as well.
