This article outlines key troubleshooting steps to consider if you've recently experienced a loss of sonar display or motor function after connecting Ethernet-Networking or transducer cables to your trolling motor.
Note: Using the wrong cable connection, adapter, or extension cable can cause equipment damage and result in the loss of essential trolling motor functions.
Identifying the Correct Cable Connection
- Verifying that the correct connection or adapter cables were used during installation is the first step to check. The images below will guide you through the different types of transducer, networking, or foot pedal cables your motor may be equipped with.
- Note: In some cases, cable connections may look similar in size or share the same pin configuration. However, only the intended cable connection will ensure proper motor function.
