Using Two Mapping Cards

Many Humminbird fish finders support two mapping cards simultaneously, allowing you to keep multiple map regions or mapping products installed. If both cards are from the same map family—such as VX, Navionics, or LakeMaster Legacy—and do not have overlapping coverage, the unit automatically selects the appropriate card. Otherwise, simply switch between them using the Chart or Chart Source menu to view the desired mapping card. Please see your unit below.

APEX, XPLORE and SOLIX G3 - 5.060 and newer software

  1. Go-to a fullscreen Chart View
  2. Press the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the screen

  3. Tap of Settings in the bottom right corner.  You may need to scroll down

  4. On the right side on your screen, scroll down and select Chart Source

  5. Choose your settings, depending on which version of card you wish to use

APEX and SOLIX - 4.210 and older software

  1. Press Home
  2. Select Settings

  3. On the left, choose Chart

  4. On the right, configure your fish finder for the desired mapping card

HELIX

  1. Press Exit on the keypad to close any menus on-screen
  2. Tap Menu Twice
  3. Arrow to the Chart Tab

  4. Change Map Source to the desired card type
 

Legacy

  1. Press Exit on the keypad to leave any menus on-screen
  2. Tap Menu Twice
  3. Arrow to the setup tab and change your user mode to Advanced

  4. Press Exit once
  5. Arrow to the Chart Tab
