When you create a waypoint on your Humminbird, the unit automatically saves it in its memory, not on your map card.
To ensure the safety of your waypoints, we recommend investing in a blank SD/Micro SD card, no larger than 32GB, to back them up in case anything happens to your GPS unit. Saving waypoints to a blank SD card also enables you to transfer them to a computer program or another GPS device.
Using your LakeMaster or other cartography cards to save waypoints is not recommended as it may corrupt the map data and void the warranty.
