Can I Update My First-Generation ICE HELIX 5 or 7 to Work Like a G2 Model?
Unfortunately, there is no software update available for first-generation ICE HELIX 5 or ICE HELIX 7 units that would add the features found in ICE HELIX G2 models.
The new features introduced with the G2 series are hardware-based and cannot be added through a firmware update. To access these enhancements, you would need to purchase a newer G2 model.
At this time, Humminbird does not offer a trade-in or buyback program for older units.
