What Is the MEGA 360 Wet Switch?
The MEGA 360 Wet Switch is a built-in feature that automatically stops MEGA 360 sonar pinging and transducer rotation when the transducer is removed from the water. This helps reduce unnecessary wear on the system while it is not in use.

How the MEGA 360 Wet Switch Works
The MEGA 360 Wet Switch detects when the transducer is out of the water and automatically:
- Stops sonar pinging
- Stops transducer rotation
- Helps reduce unnecessary wear and tear
This protection occurs automatically and requires no user action.
What Happens When the Transducer Returns to the Water?
When the MEGA 360 transducer is placed back into the water, it automatically returns to the operating state that was previously selected by the user.
For example:
- If pinging was enabled before the transducer was removed from the water, it will automatically resume.
- If pinging was disabled, it will remain disabled when returned to the water.
The connected fish finder and MEGA 360 remember the last selected operating mode.
Power Consumption
Important: Even when the transducer is out of the water and sonar pinging has stopped, the MEGA 360 continues to draw power as long as it remains connected to a power source.
Stopping pinging and rotation does not power off the MEGA 360.
Tip: Follow recommended wiring and power management practices to reduce unnecessary battery consumption when the system is not being used.
