The XPLORE, APEX and SOLIX G3 units are designed to process sonar data from one MEGA Live 1 and one MEGA Live 2* transducer at a time. However, some One-Boat Networks may want to equip more than one MEGA Live 2 transducer for a greater field of view.
*Software version 5.060 or later is required for use with MEGA Live 2.
Using TargetLock with More than One MEGA Live 2
JUMP TO: Selecting a MEGA Live Source | Changing MEGA Live Settings |
The TargetLock system uses an APEX, XPLORE, or SOLIX G3 unit as its GPS source. Because the Humminbird unit must simultaneously process data from both the TargetLock and its paired MEGA Live 2 transducer, it cannot connect to or display data from a different MEGA Live 2 transducer while serving as the GPS source for TargetLock.
If you want to view sonar imaging from another MEGA Live 2 transducer on your One-Boat Network, you’ll need to use a separate compatible Humminbird unit within the network to do so.
Selecting a MEGA Live Source
It is important to know the Humminbird will only display imaging data from the MEGA Live 1 and MEGA Live 2 transducers it is subscribed to. This selection is made in the Sonar Settings Menu.
- Tap the Menu Icon in the MEGA Live View.
- Choose Settings
- Select MEGA Live 2 Source or MEGA Live Source
- Choose the MEGA Live 2 Source from available options.
Remember Only one MEGA Live can be in a Network but multiple MEGA Live 2 can be present.
Changing MEGA Live Settings
While most appearance settings for MEGA Live can be adjusted through the X-Press Menu, installation-related settings—such as Pitch, Roll, and Auto Orientation—are configured differently for MEGA Live and MEGA Live 2.
In order to change MEGA Live settings, the MEGA Live transducer must be powered on and connected to the Humminbird through the One-Boat Network.
Please see the instructions and examples below.
