Scenario: User exported target lines or areas from Contour Elite using the Humminbird waypoint and route format. When they attempted to import this file into Humminbird PC, they got an error message saying that the .hwr file was invalid.
Solution: The solution for this user was to export the target lines or areas in Lowrance (.usr) format, which imported properly into HumminbirdPC.
If the user wishes to import the target lines or areas as routes, they need to check the box at the bottom of the target export window that says "use routes instead of targets". If the user wishes to import them as tracks, the user should keep this box unchecked.
Summary: If the user wishes to import target lines or areas into HumminbirdPC, they must export them from Contour Elite in the Lowrance format. If the user only wishes to import target spots into HumminbirdPC, they can export the target spots from Contour Elite in Humminbird waypoint and route format (.hwr).
