Can I change the color palette on my Humminbird product?
Yes. The process to change the colors on your Humminbird fish finder is different depending on whether you have an APEX, SOLIX, or HELIX unit as well as the type of sonar being displayed. Keep in mind that the color palettes used for Side Imaging, Down Imaging, and traditional 2D Sonar are all set independently. Many anglers will choose different color palettes for all three techniques. More details on adjusting colors and views on your fish finder can be found in its product manual.

CHANGING THE COLOR PALETTE ON HELIX
The X-Press Menu allows you to quickly change the display palette while you fish. The Color Palette menu shows a preview of the palette, and the weak to strong sonar return range is displayed from left to right. Color palettes for SI, DI, and 2D views are all selected and set independent from one another. You will need to follow the set of instructions below to change the color palette for each view.
- Make sure you are displaying the sonar whose color palette you wish to adjust (Side Imaging, Down Imaging or 2D)
- With the appropriate sonar view displayed on-screen, press the MENU key once
- Select "SI Colors" "DI Colors" or "Sonar Colors" (only one of these options will display depending on what view you were in)
- Select a palette

CHANGING THE COLOR PALETTE ON SOLIX/APEX
Use the Preferences menu to change the appearance of the display. The menu options are determined by the type of view on-screen, and there are many options for each view.
SETTING COLOR PALETTE FOR SIDE IMAGING (APEX/SOLIX)
- With a Side Imaging View displayed on-screen, tap Sonar (SI) in the status bar, or press the MENU key once.
- Select Sonar Options
- Select Preferences
- Select Sonar Colors
- Select a color palette
SETTING COLOR PALETTE FOR DOWN IMAGING (APEX/SOLIX)
- With a Down Imaging View displayed on-screen, tap Sonar (DI) in the status bar, or press the MENU key once.
- Select Sonar Options

- Select a color palette

- With a 2D View displayed on-screen, tap Sonar (2D) in the status bar, or press the MENU key once.
