Problems Updating i-Pilot Link 2.0 (non - Bluetooth) remote or controller

These steps are related to non-Blue Tooth i-Pilot Link or those who do not update via the App.  

Software can be very version sensitive.  Look over the below guides which may suggest a different order to update the various components within your network.  Includes: 700/800/900/1100 Series, HELIX, SOLIX, APEX.

700/800/900/1100 Series

Before you begin you must know the following information
• Software on the Unit
• Software on the Remote
• Software on the Controller

If you do not have this information available, you must not proceed with software download instructions as you do not want to risk bricking your unit.

Link Controller and Remote preloaded with 1.xxx software and Units with 6.900 or lower software.  Update in the following order.  

1. Update Link Controller
2. Update Link Remote
3. Update Humminbird Unit

Link Controller and Remote preloaded with 1.xxx software and units with updated software 7.xx or higher software.  Update in the following order.  

1. Downgrade unit to software version 6.900 or below
2. Update Link Controller
3. Update Link Remote
4. Update Humminbird Unit

Link Controller and Remote preloaded with 1.xxx software and units with factory installed software 7.xx or higher software. Update in the following order.

1. Update Link Controller
2. Update Link Remote
3. Update HB Unit

Link Controller and Remote preloaded with 2.xxx software and units with 6.900 or lower software. Update in the following order.

1. Update HB Unit
2. Update Link Controller
3. Update Link Remote

Link Controller and Remote preloaded with 2.xxx software and units with factory installed software 7.xx or higher software. Update in the following order.

1. Update HB Unit
2. Update Link Controller
3. Update Link Remote

HELIX 7/8/9/10/12/15 networking models or any SOLIX or APEX models

Link Controller and Remote preloaded with 1.xxx software with any networking unit with any software version

1. Update Link Controller
2. Update Link Remote
3. Update HB Unit

Link Controller and Remote preloaded with 2.xxx software with any networking unit with any software version

1. Update HB Unit
2. Update Link Controller
3. Update Link Remote
