APEX, XPLORE or SOLIX G3 Map Not Loading or Chart is Black

This article provides a workaround for APEX, XPLORE and SOLIX G3 units experiencing issues such as maps not loading or a black chart display. It also includes a link to update the software once an update becomes available. In the meantime, please follow the steps below to correct the corrupted track and create a new one.

Steps to Correct Corrupt Track

  1. From the Home Screen select My Data.
  2. Select Tracks. 
  3. Select Save Current Track. 
  4. Save the Current Track. 
  5. Once this is saved, the current track is saved, a new one that is not corrupted is created, and the chart should start working again. 

Updating Software

Once a software update becomes available, it can be downloaded using the link below. Please note that the current version (5.250) does not include this fix.
