Can my Humminbird GPS unit be changed from Standard Time to Daylight Saving Time?
Yes, any GPS capable Humminbird model can be changed to Daylight Saving Time. Performing this update is Series dependent. We recommend that you check your operations manual for instructions to perform this process.
In most units the task is performed while in Advanced User Mode under the Setup tab. Under Daylight Saving Time you can turn this feature ON or OFF.
For APEX/SOLIX/ONIX/ION products: Go to your Home screen, select Settings, select General, scroll down to All Units, select Time + Date, select Local Time where you can turn Daylight Saving Time ON or OFF.
Keep in mind that the time is actually set by the GPS system and that there are no minute, second adjustments that can be made by the user. Hours are adjusted by selecting your Local Time Zone and UTC offset. If you do not know your UTC offset, you may need to consult your local government.
