Humminbird products purchased from a U.S. retailer or e-tailer are configured with English-only menus and use imperial measurements (feet, Fahrenheit, mph).
Products featuring menus in other languages and metric measurements are available only through authorized retailers in the respective country or region.
Finding an Authorized Dealer
To locate a local retailer or authorized distributor:
- Visit our Dealer Locator.
- Enter your country name (in English).
- Expand the search radius from 25 miles to 250 miles.
- Click Search.
If necessary, click the “–” (zoom out) symbol on the map to view a larger area.
If you still cannot find a dealer, please email us for assistance in locating your local authorized Humminbird distributor.
Differences Between U.S. and Local Dealers
While U.S. pricing may appear more attractive, there are important considerations:
1. Warranty Coverage

U.S. Purchases:
- Standard warranty is one to two years on most products.
- Warranty service must be performed in the U.S., and you are responsible for freight charges to and from our factory in Eufaula, AL, USA.

Local Purchases:
- Warranty complies with your country’s regulations, sometimes affecting the cost to the product.
2. Language & Documentation

U.S. Purchases:
- Includes a Quick Start Guide in English.
- Full manuals are available for download on our website.

Local Purchases:
- Includes an operations manual in your local language, as required by law.
3. Menu Language & Measurements
- U.S. Models: English menus, imperial units only.

International Models: Support 26 languages and metric measurements.
This requires additional development and certification costs.
4. Certification Requirements
Products sold locally meet regional compliance standards (e.g., CE in Europe, C-Tick in Australia), which are not required for U.S. models.
5. Frequency & Legal Restrictions
Certain products have frequency requirements specific to your region.
Using U.S.-approved products in other countries may result in fines or legal action.
Examples: VHF radios and all SmartCast products.
6. GPS Limitations
Products with GPS functions cannot reset time zones outside U.S. zones, which may affect satellite acquisition.
Important Note
If you purchase a product in the U.S., we do not:
- Convert the product for international use.
- Provide software updates for regional compatibility.
