How to Equip Your MEGA Live 2 for Ice Fishing
Your setup depends on which MEGA Live 2 package you purchased. Follow the steps below to make sure you have the right components for ice fishing.
If You Purchased the “Open Water” MEGA Live 2
This version is designed for open water use, so you’ll need an ICE pole for ice fishing. Here are your options:

Buy an ICE pole that includes a mount for MEGA Live 2
- Some third-party ICE poles come with a mount that works with MEGA Live 2. If you choose this option, you’re ready to go.

Buy an ICE pole without a mount and use the included open-water mount
- Your MEGA Live 2 came with a shaft mount and landscape bracket. You can attach these to the ICE pole for use.
- Note: This setup supports Landscape Mode.

Buy an ICE pole without a mount and purchase our ICE MEGA Live 2 Compact Pole-Mount (item # 740255-1)
- This is a separate accessory designed for ICE fishing.
- Important: This mount does not support Landscape Mode.
- Use the ICE Adapter Kit - MEGA Live (item # 740215-1) with the MEGA Live 2 TargetLock Adapter (item # 740251-1).
If You Purchased the “ICE Xplore + MEGA Live 2” Bundle
Your kit already includes what you need for ICE fishing. You have two options:
- Use the mount that is part of your ICE pole.
- Use the provided ICE MEGA Live 2 Compact Pole-Mount included in your kit.

Quick Tips
- Check if your ICE pole includes a compatible mount before buying extra accessories.
- Landscape Mode is only supported when using the original shaft mount with the landscape bracket.
- Note: Humminbird verifies maximum stated depth in saltwater conditions, however actual depth performance may vary due to transducer installation, water type, thermal layers, bottom composition, and slope.
