What is hot plugging?
Hot plugging occurs when a transducer, Ethernet Cable, or any auxiliary accessory is disconnected or connected to a unit after the unit has already been turned on. If you plug in one of these items after your unit has booted up for the initial time the accessory may not be recognized by the unit.
Reconnecting a module or cable that came loose or disconnected during a single boot cycle should not appear as hot plugging but when in doubt you should reboot the unit with all accessories and modules already connected.
Hot plugging is not recommended. If you have done so, and there appears to be an issue, reboot the device while the accessory is correctly plugged in.
